Beryl Strauss, Director

Beryl Strauss began her career at Adat Ari El as our Director of the Adat Ari El Rose Engel Early Childhood Center in 2005.  Beryl has been in the early childhood education field for over 17 years directing three other Jewish early childhood education programs, all teaching early childhood age groups, from the 1-month old parenting programs through kindergarten/first grade.  She completed a Master’s degree in Business Administration in 2004 to enable her to be effective in the successful management early childhood programs.  She received her Bachelor’s degree from California State University, Northridge and completed her coursework in Child Development and Administration at UCLA.

Beryl is especially proud of our ECC and sees her commitment to the children and the families as key to her own success.  She believes that a positive Jewish early education experience fosters a sense of community and involvement for both parents and children that can last a lifetime. 

Outside of our community, Beryl is a Board member of the Association of Early Jewish Educators and belongs to the National Association for the Education of Young Children, where she is a frequent presenter.

Beryl is the proud mother of two daughters, Stacey and Carrie.
