Julee Levine
Director of Youth Activities

Julee S. Levine began her career at Adat Ari El as our Director of Youth Education and Programs in July 2002.  Before coming to Adat Ari El, she was the Youth Director at Temple Beth-El in Birmingham, Alabama, where she took a nearly extinct chapter of USY and raised it up to Regional and National prominence.  Previously, Julee was a USY Advisor in Jacksonville, FL, and a teacher in the Duval County Public Schools system.  Julee received her Master’s degree in Education from the University of Florida in 1995.  She received her BA in Special Education from there as well in 1994.

Julee is especially proud of her work building our USY and Kadima programs for our youth to its present-day strength.  She has built a solid program in our Confirmation/Seminar Institute and isn’t afraid to work with staff and lay leadership to continually improve the fabulous program already in place.  Julee is the Executive Producer of our annual “Rabbi’s Play” and takes much joy in the annual commitment of the teens that participate.

Outside of our community, Julee is active in the Southern California Gator Club, and she is a member of the Jewish Youth Director’s Association and the YPAC.

Julee was drawn to the Adat Ari El community during her initial interview because of everyone’s connection to the community.  According to Julee, “Being welcomed here was like being welcomed into someone’s home for the first time, and I still love feeling the warmth of that hospitality.”

Julee was married at Adat Ari El to her wonderful husband Jason in 2006.
